HUANG JIA
lives and works in Shenzhen and Berlin.
Huang Jia’s early works were inspired by Francis Bacon, Paul Delvaux and Lucian Freud, focusing on self-expression and construction. Since 2007, by combining basic concave and convex forms in differing permutations, she has attempted to demonstrate, that varying psychologies and the collective unconsciousness can be transmitted through the simplest visual symbols. Homochromous, geometric, minimalist andcalm, her work nevertheless conveys a warmth, a softness and overall a touching sense of humanity.

黄佳生于湖南长沙，现工作和生活在柏林和深圳，1985年开始艺术创作至今，参加92 年 广州双年展获得提名奖。在美国、柏林、北京、上海、香港、日本、长沙、郑州等城市做个展和群展，作品被各大美术馆、艺术机构和画廊及藏家收藏。《Asia 周刊》《新视觉》《江苏画刊》《当代艺术》《国家美术》《中国90年代艺术史》等专题报道，2015年成立du/lab 空间和担任制造文化艺术空间艺术总监和策划多个当代艺术展览，北京偏锋新艺术空间、北京艺琅国际、北京艺术粮仓、上海索美空间、柏林候鸟空间、柏林 K&W画廊代理艺术家。
